The Most Affordable Warranty Plans in 2026 (Auto and Home)

What auto vehicle service contracts and home warranty plans cost in 2026, which providers reviewers call the cheapest, and why the lowest monthly price is not always the lowest total cost.

By Silver Creek Hub · Updated November 3, 2026

Cheap is easy to find. Cheap that still pays when you need it takes a little math. Here are the 2026 price ranges for auto and home, and how to compare real cost.

Who we are. Silver Creek is an independent, third-party comparison hub (an aggregator) for vehicle service contracts and home service plans. We are not the contract administrator, the vehicle manufacturer or a dealer, and we are not affiliated with any other company that has a similar name. Auto: what published sources report

SourceWhat it reports

Cars.com (quotes gathered February 2026)Cheapest sampled option for a Toyota Camry: $127.33 per month; same type of plan for a Mercedes-Benz GLB: $173.10 per month
AutoGuidePlans from as low as $25 per month exist; cost depends on age, condition, make, model and mileage
Insurify, sample mid-tier plansEndurance Superior about $99 per month over 30 months; Omega Stated about $96 per month over 36 months

Prices rise with vehicle age, mileage, make and model, the coverage level, the deductible and the state. Luxury and high-mileage vehicles cost more to cover, so use these as ranges, not quotes. Three providers appear on more than one 2026 "cheapest" list: Endurance, Olive and Autopom!, and Automoblog adds Toco and CarShield to its list.

Lowest monthly price is not always lowest cost

  • Service fee. A $50 monthly plan with a $125 fee and four visits costs $1,100 a year. A $58 plan with a $75 fee and four visits costs $996. The cheaper-looking plan cost more.
  • Deductible (auto). A lower monthly payment often goes with a higher deductible.
  • Down payment and total. Add the down payment, every payment and all fees over the whole term.
  • Coverage list. Basic plans may leave out items you were counting on, such as A/C, electronics or a refrigerator.
  • Limits. Per-item and annual caps can matter more than price on a large repair.
  • Waiting period and cancellation. Ask when coverage starts and how refunds work.

Ways to lower the cost

  1. Get at least three quotes with the same vehicle or home details.
  2. Compare paying in full with monthly payments. Some sellers discount an upfront payment.
  3. Pick the level that fits what is most likely to break. Do not buy every extra.
  4. Ask about seasonal discounts and what is included at renewal.
  5. Keep maintenance records. Many auto contracts require them to approve a claim.
